Situated in the Robertson Wine Valley (2km outside Bonnievale on the R317), Bonnievale Cellar is the largest winery in the Bonnievale district. The Cellar was established in 1964 by 29 members and the first grape intake ammassed 4613 tons. From these humble geginnings the annual grape intake increased to the current 10,000 tons. Open Monday to Friday 08:00 - 17:00 and Saturday from 10:00 – 13:00.

| Van Zylshof Estate |

The Van Zyl family has been producing wine on the Estate for three generations. Since 1984 they have concentrated on planting only the best clones available of various noble cultivars, namely sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The first red was pressed in 200. The Estate is situated near Bonnievale in the Southern part of the Robertson Wine Region, 150km from Cape Town and 70km from the South Atlantic Ocean. The wines from this area have become household names both in South Africa and Internationally. Van Zylshof wines are made by father-and-son team Andri en Chris Van Zyl. The Estate, the smallest in the area, consists of approximately 40 hectares of lime-rich soil on a gentle Southern slope above the Breede River, 30 of which are currently under vineyards. Open Monday to Friday from 09:00 - 17:00 and Saturday 09:00 - 13:00.

Arendsig is a boutique cellar situated in the southern part of the Robertson Valley. Vineyards on various slopes of the Robertson area was specifically selected for the cultivation of noble cultivars for the creation of hand-crafted wines of exceptional quality. Frikkie and his older son, Lourens van der Westhuizen, plan to grow steadily to about 70 tons. The main cultivars will be Shiraz, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Carbenet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir. The first Chardonnay and Shiraz was produced in 2004. Visit by appointment.

Situated on the R317 between Bonnievale and Robertson. Family history runs deep in this 18 hectare vineyard, which Jan's father purchased in 1973. The Janeza wines are made in an old building dating back to the 1930's which in earlier years served as stables and ox pens. Jan equipped it as a small wine cellar. The wine is made according to traditional methods thus given as much personal attention as possible. The grapes are grown only on the best chosen terroir. Wines are mode from various grapes: Sauvignon Blanc; Chardonnay; Cabernet Sauvignon; Shiraz, Merlot and Petit Verdot. Two of the stables have been restored as a cobble-stoned tasting room which is open from Monday to Friday 08:30 - 17:00 and Saturday 09:00 - 13:00

Here, the Jonker family settled in 1912, and involved themselves with the art of wine making. through years of hardship, friendship and joy, the later generation Jonkers are today honouring this tradition, proudly reflected in the Jonkheer and Bakenskop wine ranges: Chardonnay, Chardonnay Family Reserve, Cabernet Sauvignon Family Reserve, Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot, Pinotage, Muscatheer (Muscat d'Frontignan) and Buccanheer (Touriga Nacionale).

Quando is a family business, with brothers Fanus and Martin Bruwer as sixth generation descendants of the Bruére family, who settled here from France in the mid 1700’s. The Quando Vineyards and Winery is situated between Robertson and Bonnievale, in the picturesque Robertson Valley, 150kms east of Cape Town. It is on the banks of the Breede River, constantly flowing, that Fanus and Martin have planted Sauvignon blanc vines to make their Quando Sauvignon blanc. We specialize in Sauvignon blanc and only produce the one wine, Quando Sauvignon blanc. It is light green in colour with excotic forthcoming frangipani flower, passion-fruit and gooseberry on the nose. Flinty minerally notes on the pallet follow through with a crisp acidity. Delicious juicy green fruit flavours rounds it off elegantly. 12.7 % alc 7 g/l acidity 3.5 g/ l sugar Free sulphur 40 Total sulphur 123. Although only 12 hectares are planted with Sauvignon blanc, 60 hectares of other wine grape varieties are grown.
